AUTHOR GUIDELINES

The Journal of Accounting, Economics & Management (JAEM) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute new insights, theories, empirical findings, and methodological advancements in the fields of accounting, economics, and management. Authors are required to follow these guidelines prior to submission to ensure a smooth review and publication process.

1. General Requirements

  • The manuscript must be original, not previously published, and not under review by another journal.
  • The manuscript must be written in clear, academic English.
  • Manuscripts must follow the formatting style provided by JAEM.
  • All submissions must be made through the online submission system.
  • Similarity must be below 20% (excluding references).

2. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

  1. Title (maximum 15 words)
  2. Author(s) Name and Affiliation
  3. Abstract (150–250 words)
  4. Keywords (4–6 words)
  5. Introduction
  6. Literature Review
  7. Methods
  8. Results
  9. Discussion
  10. Conclusion and future research direction
  11. Acknowledgment (if necessary)
  12. References

3. Manuscript Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)
  • Page size: A4
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Paragraphs: justified alignment
  • Maximum length: 7,000–8,000 words (excluding references)

4. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should summarize the research purpose, methodology, major findings, and contributions. It must be written in a single paragraph without citations.

Abstract Format:

  • Length: 150–250 words
  • No citations
  • Contains objective, method, results, and conclusion

5. Tables and Figures

  • All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.).
  • Titles must be placed above tables and below figures.
  • Images must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Place tables and figures close to where they are first discussed.

6. Citation and Reference Style

JAEM uses the APA Style (7th Edition).

In-text citation:

  • One author: (Smith, 2020)
  • Two authors: (Smith & Brown, 2020)
  • Three or more authors: (Smith et al., 2020)

7. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must ensure data accuracy and transparency.
  • Human subjects research must include ethics approval.
  • Conflicts of interest must be fully disclosed.
  • Funding sources must be acknowledged.

8. Authorship Criteria

All listed authors must:

  • Contribute significantly to the study’s conception, design, analysis, or interpretation.
  • Draft or revise the article critically.
  • Approve the final version.
  • Agree to be accountable for the work.

10. Review Process

JAEM applies a double-blind peer review involving at least two independent reviewers. Authors will be notified of one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

11. Article Processing Fee

If applicable, details regarding publication fees or APCs will be provided on the journal website. JAEM maintains transparency and affordability in its fee structure.

12. Post-Acceptance

  • Manuscripts undergo copyediting and proofreading.
  • Authors receive page proofs for final checking.
  • Published articles receive a DOI and are indexed accordingly.
